🎧 ScionStream DJ Streaming Requirements

To maintain broadcast quality, consistency, and professionalism across the ScionStream platform, all DJs must meet the following technical, content, and community requirements:
 

🔧 1. Technical Setup

To ensure a high-quality stream, DJs must have:

• Stable Internet Connection:
  Minimum upload speed of 5 Mbps (wired connection strongly recommended).

• Streaming Software:
  OBS Studio, Mixcloud Live, or equivalent broadcasting software configured for optimal audio and visual quality.

• Audio Interface & Equipment:
  Professional DJ controller, mixer, or turntables connected through an audio interface to deliver clear, balanced sound.

• Microphone (Optional but Recommended):
  For station IDs, voice intros, or show engagement.

• Camera Setup (for visual streams):
  Minimum 720p webcam or camera feed with proper lighting if broadcasting live video.
  
   

🎵 2. Content Standards

• Original or Licensed Content Only:
  DJs must ensure that all tracks are properly licensed for streaming platforms like Mixcloud or Twitch.
  No unlicensed uploads or copyright violations are permitted.

• Show Format:
  Must fit within ScionStream’s creative ethos — focusing on quality music, storytelling, and atmosphere (not random or unfinished streams).

• Intro & Outro:
  Each show should include an intro or jingle identifying the DJ and ScionStream.
  
   

🌍 3. Branding & Engagement

• Use ScionStream Visuals:
  Include official overlays, logos, and branding in your stream visuals (assets provided by ScionStream).

• Promote Your Show:
  Share your stream links and schedule across social media platforms with ScionStream tags and hashtags.

• Engage with Listeners:
  Interact in the chatroom and support fellow DJs on the platform to build a sense of community.
  
   

📆 4. Scheduling & Commitment

• Commit to a regular show slot (weekly, biweekly, or monthly).

• Notify the ScionStream team at least 48 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule a show.

• Submit promotional material (show description, visuals, etc.) before your first stream.
   

🧠 5. Professional Conduct

• Respect all members, fellow DJs, and listeners.

• Avoid explicit, offensive, or discriminatory language on stream or in chat.

• Represent ScionStream positively across all online spaces.
   

✅ 6. Optional but Recommended

• High-quality visuals or background for immersive streaming.

• Social media links and artist bio for your DJ profile on ScionStream.

• Participation in ScionStream community features (e.g., “Track of the Week,” collaborations, or guest mixes).
